ABOUT THE EVENT /
Presented by the RBC, the LEADHER Awards Gala In collaboration with The Equal Chance Foundation and ELLE Magazine CIV, is a prestigious event dedicated to celebrating phenomenal women from across the globe. This year, we are honored to recognize the outstanding contributions of women who have excelled in various fields, including aviation, fashion, sports, and grassroots organizations. The 2025 LEADHER Awards Gala is not only a celebration but also a commitment to meaningful causes—supporting UNICEF and contributing to the creation of a reproductive care home in Canada for homeless pregnant Black women. These initiatives reflect our belief in the power of collective action to transform lives and uplift vulnerable communities.
Join us on the United Nations' International Women's Day as we honor and celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women who are breaking barriers, shattering stereotypes, and making a profound impact in their respective fields. These remarkable women embody resilience, determination, and empowerment, challenging societal norms and paving the way for future generations.
From entrepreneurs to doctors, pilots to entertainers, and beyond, the Women Who Work Gala celebrates the diverse accomplishments of women from all walks of life. These leaders are not only excelling in their careers but are also using their platforms to uplift and empower women and girls around the world.
As UNICEF dedicates the year 2024-2025 to Education, we are proud to contribute to this vital cause by supporting UNICEF's on-the-ground efforts. Together, we can make a difference and empower the next generation of female leaders.
The Gala will be graced by distinguished guests, members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, and public personalities.
Join us at the Women Who Work Gala - LEADHER Awards as we celebrate the incredible achievements of women and work towards a brighter, more equitable future for all.

THE AWARD
Handcrafted by Canadian artist Denisa Prochazka in collaboration with our LEADHER awards committee in Canada, this unique award is more than just a symbol of recognition; it is a tribute to the remarkable strength, resilience, and perseverance of women worldwide.
At its heart, the trophy features a beautifully sculpted woman gracefully holding the world, symbolizing the immense burden and responsibility often shouldered by women. It serves as a poignant reminder of the vital role women play in shaping our world and society.
The leaves adorning the woman and enveloping the award pay homage to the Indigenous peoples of Canada, honoring their rich cultural heritage and deep connection to the land. This intricate detail serves as a reminder of the importance of acknowledging and celebrating diversity and inclusivity and recognizing that we are hosting our event on unceded Algonquin Anishinabe territory.
Each element of this handmade award tells a story of empowerment, unity, and collaboration. As it graces the hands of the remarkable women being honored at the gala, it serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations to come.
